Hoboken was once a large U.S. Cargo shipping port but has transformed into a retreat for artists, transplanted suburbanites and young professionals. Its proximity to Manhattan and relatively low cost rental properties make Hoboken an attractive living option. With the construction of transit villages, it is also the first stop for those wanting a taste of urban living before making the big move to Manhattan.

The 2000 census puts the population of Hoboken at approximately 38,000 residents with a population density at over 30,000 people per square mile. This makes Hoboken the fourth condensed population in the United States after West New York, Guttenberg and Union City.

Frank Sinatra was commemorated as Hoboken's favorite son with the construction of Sinatra Park and Sinatra Drive. A gigantic neon sign with its famous "Good to the Last Drop" logo reminds the residents of the area that the Maxwell House factory plays a historic role in the community. Hoboken also claims to be the birthplace of baseball since the Knickerbocker Club and the New York Nine played their first organized game at Elysian Fields in 1846.

If you are looking to move, and escape the hustle and bustle of New York City or you live in Hoboken and need assistance in a move, then use our resources. The information we provide will allow you to make informed decisions about moving, storage facilities, to locate moving services or even a new apartment.
